Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez won her first bid for reelection to the U.S. House of Representatives on Tuesday in New York's 14th congressional district. New York Democratic Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez addresses the House on a point of personal privilege to discuss an altercation she had with Florida Republican Representative Ted Yoho.

House Minority Leader Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) answers to “legitimate White supremacist sympathizers” in the House Republican Caucus, Democrat “Squad” member Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) claimed Wednesday.

Last term, the Republican Caucus was made up of “cowards” and supporters of Pres. Donald Trump – but, now it’s run by “White Supremacist sympathizers” who sit at its heart and core, Ocasio-Cortez charged in an interview on MSNBC:

'That difference was that it really felt that, last term, the Republican Caucus was one of extreme fealty to Donald Trump. There were some that were true believers, others that simply remained quiet out of cowardice and out of fear of the president's retribution.'

'But this term, there are legitimate White supremacist sympathizers that sit at the heart and at the core of the Republican Caucus in the House of Representatives.”

Conflating White supremacists with QAnon conspiracy supporters, Ocasio-Cortez accused Rep. McCarthy of indulging “White supremacist vitriol coming from his own members”:

“And when you see someone like the House Minority Leader, Kevin McCarthy, of the Republican Party, respond to White supremacist vitriol coming from his own members, not with censure like they did with Representative Steve King of Iowa, not with, you know, being stripped of committees, not with any consequence, you have to wonder who actually has that power.

“And it increasingly seems, unfortunately, that in the House Republican Caucus, Kevin McCarthy answers to these QAnon members of Congress, not the other way around. And that is something, frankly, that needs to be said.'

Far-left Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) appears to think that the Democratic Party has lost its majority in the House of Representatives.

A video posted to Twitter by GOP researcher Tommy Pigott showed Ocasio-Cortez on a Zoom call with a constituent who asked the 31-year-old lawmaker about the stunning string of losses that Democrats endured in House races during last week’s election.

The question that Ocasio-Cortez answered was: “Why did we lose so many seats, and what needs to be done to get them back next term?”

“So, you know, of course, um, the loss of the House majority is just extraordinarily upsetting to all of us, um, it’s upsetting to all of us who, who are invested in having a Democratic majority so that we can expand health care, so that we can raise wages, so that we can protect working people,” she responded. “And it’s also personally very difficult, um, because to lose these people, you know, many of them are my colleagues, and I’m proud to call many of them my friends, and the idea that they may not be returning next term is very, or that they aren’t returning next term, is extremely difficult on both just a personal and a policy and a political-level.”

However, both The New York Times and The Washington Post have reported that Democrats are keeping their majority in the House of Representatives, although they will have lost seats to Republicans who appear to be well on their way to having significantly closed the gap in House seats.

In an interview with The New York Times, Ocasio-Cortez fumed at her colleagues that blamed her far-left wing of the party for their losses in last week’s election.

The Daily Wire reported:

Ocasio-Cortez claimed that the Green New Deal — a socialist agenda that was so toxic that not a single Democrat senator voted to support it when it was put to a vote last year — was “not a sinker” for candidates. Ocasio-Cortez also claimed that “progressive policies do not hurt candidates,” despite the fact that her colleagues said that they nearly lost their own races because of those policies.

“We need to not ever use the word ‘socialist’ or ‘socialism’ ever again. . . . We lost good members because of that,” Rep. Abigail Spanberger (D-VA), who narrowly leads in her reelection bid, said in an audio recording obtained by The Washington Post. “If we are classifying Tuesday as a success . . . we will get f—ing torn apart in 2022.”

Ocasio-Cortez, who has only been an elected official for two years, fumed that other Democrats pointed their fingers at her and her far-left cohorts, suggesting that they were incompetent and did not know how to run campaigns. She also suggested that they needed to spend more money on Facebook, a platform she has repeatedly criticized.

Ocasio-Cortez added in the interview that she thinks that white people need to receive “anti-racist” training.

“We need to do a lot of anti-racist, deep canvassing in this country,” she said. “Because if we keep losing white shares and just allowing Facebook to radicalize more and more elements of white voters and the white electorate, there’s no amount of people of color and young people that you can turn out to offset that.”
